How to Adopt a Pet
The first step to adopting your new family member is to come in and meet the pets who live at our Pet Rescue Center. We have cats, dogs, puppies and kittens, so there is likely a pet who is perfect for your family.
When you come in you will be shown either the dogs or cats or both. Whichever you prefer. When you find someone you want to meet, you will get to meet the pet in an adoption room and then work with a trained Adoption Counselor to select the best pet for your family. You'll visit with cats and dogs who you are considering adoption. Don't be surprised if an Adoption Counselor tries to guide you away from a particular dog or cat, especially if you're a first-time pet adopter. We want a great fit for both you and the pet, so we will help you find a dog that fits YOUR lifestyle.
If you have another dog, please be sure to bring it with you so a Meet and Greet can be done with your possible new dog. That way you know if they will get along before you go home. We can do a cat test by walking the dog by the cat room window so you know how the dog will react.
After you've made your final choice, then all you do is pay the adoption fee and take your new family member home the same day! The hardest part in picking one out!
